Letter to Parents

Why This Is Public
We had a constructive dialogue with school leadership about these concerns, and after giving thoughtful consideration to their feedback, we recognized that there are a few outstanding items we need to address. While there are issues the school will be addressing internally, we were advised to share a letter to the parent community to address the confusion and misinformation circulating within the group.
Why We’re Utilizing a Website
There’s a lot of information to share, and we wanted to organize it in a way that’s easy to access, optional to read, and respectful of everyone’s time. We recognize that this might not be something all families wish to engage in, and this provides an easy way to opt out. This site will also be taken down after 30 days.
Offering Full and Transparent Context
We feel the best way to approach this delicate situation is with full transparency. So, we will be sharing personal details about our family, as well as specific experiences that we would have otherwise preferred to have kept private. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We remain receptive and committed to engaging in a productive dialogue with our fellow Journey parents.

Working Toward Resolution
We have agreed to an independent mediation process which is being arranged by school administration and are hopeful it will help all parties involved move forward with more clarity and care.
